Terms of Service · LUX8 Wallet
Last updated: 2 November 2026
These terms cover the LUX8 Wallet application: the app at wallet.lux8.net, the browser extension built from it, and the Android and iOS apps. LUX8 Wallet is made by Lux8 Labs Ltd (“we”, “us”). By installing or using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it. How the app handles information is described separately in the Privacy Policy.
1. What the app is
LUX8 Wallet is self-custodial software for the Solana network. It creates and stores keys on your device, shows what your addresses hold, and builds transactions for you to review and sign. We do not hold your funds, we do not have your keys, and we cannot move, freeze, reverse or recover anything on your behalf. We are not a bank, an exchange, a broker or a custodian, and the app is not an account with us: there is no sign-up.
2. Your keys are your responsibility
- Your recovery phrase and private keys never leave your device, and we never see them. We cannot restore access to a wallet. If you lose your recovery phrase and your device or password, the funds in that wallet are lost for good.
- Write the recovery phrase down and keep it somewhere safe and offline. Anyone who has it controls the wallet.
- We will never ask for your recovery phrase, private key or password. Anyone who does is not us.
- Keep your device, operating system and the app up to date, and protect the device with a screen lock.
3. Transactions are final
A transaction sent to Solana cannot be cancelled or reversed, by you or by us. Before signing, check the recipient, the amount and what the wallet tells you the transaction will do. The app runs a dry run against the chain and refuses transactions it can see would do something other than what was shown. This check reduces risk, it does not remove it: a program can behave differently once the transaction is actually sent, network conditions change between the check and the moment of sending, and a hardware wallet shows only what its own screen can show.
Network fees are paid to the Solana network, not to us. Sending can fail or be delayed when the network is congested, and a fee may be charged even for a transaction that fails.
4. Services from other parties
Some features work by calling services we do not operate. These include Jupiter (prices and swap routes), Sanctum (liquid staking), Kamino and Jupiter Lend (Earn), RPC providers, Trezor Suite, and any website you open in the app’s browser. These services set their own prices, fees, slippage, availability and terms. The wallet shows the price and fees it gets back from them before you sign, but we do not control them, cannot guarantee a quote will still hold when the transaction lands, and are not responsible for their conduct or for losses caused by them.
Websites opened in the app’s browser, or connected to the extension, are not ours. Connecting a site gives it your public address; signing what it asks for can move your funds. Only connect to sites you trust.
5. Staking, liquid staking and Earn
- Staking delegates SOL to a validator you choose. LUX8 Wallet suggests the LUX8 validator, which we operate, and lets you choose any other. Rewards depend on the network and the validator and are not guaranteed. Unstaking takes until the end of the current epoch, usually a few days at most.
- Instant unstake and liquid staking tokens (such as luxSOL) go through pools and markets run by third parties. They have a cost, which the wallet shows before you sign, and their value can differ from the SOL behind them.
- Earn deposits into lending protocols run by third parties. Those protocols carry smart contract, market and liquidity risk, and withdrawals may be delayed or limited by the protocol itself.
- Rates shown in the app are estimates from on-chain data or from the protocol and can change at any time.
6. No advice
Nothing in the app is financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Token lists, prices, yields, validator data and DeFi positions are shown for information, can be incomplete or out of date, and may show tokens or NFTs that someone sent you without asking. Showing an asset is not an endorsement of it. Digital assets are volatile and you can lose everything you put in. You are responsible for your own decisions and for any taxes that apply to you.
7. Who may use the app
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if it is higher. You may not use the app if you are subject to sanctions, or in a way that breaks the law that applies to you, including laws on money laundering, sanctions and fraud. Some features may not be available where you live.
8. Acceptable use
Do not use the app to harm others, to attack or overload our servers or the services the app relies on, or to get around limits the app sets. Do not present a modified copy of the app as LUX8 Wallet or under our name.
9. Fees
We do not charge for the app and add no fee of our own to transfers, swaps or staking. Costs you see come from the Solana network or from the third-party services named above. If that ever changes, the fee will be shown in the app before you sign, and these terms will be updated first.
10. Software provided as is
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it correct and secure, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every device, wallet or token. Features may change or be removed. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Lux8 Labs Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of funds, profits or data, arising from: lost or stolen keys or devices, transactions you signed, the behaviour of the Solana network, of third-party services or of websites you connect to, or the use of or inability to use the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to USD 100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. App stores
If you got the app from Google Play, the Apple App Store, the Chrome Web Store or the Solana dApp Store, these terms are between you and Lux8 Labs Ltd, not the store. The store is not responsible for the app or for support, and its own terms also apply to your use of the store.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes with every update, and material changes are noted in the app’s release notes. Using the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah and the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates. Disputes go to the competent courts of Ras Al Khaimah, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them elsewhere.
